In Seminar XI Lacan insists that ‘man thinks with his object’. What exactly does Lacan mean by this?

Across the course of the seminar we will consider this comment and explore the invention of the objet a in Seminar X and what came before this purely Lacanian idea.

The seminar teases out the early formulations of the object examining it in its imaginary, symbolic and real dimensions.

We will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 7pm to 9pm.

These seminars will run over both semesters, but enrollment will be separate for each semester.

Schedule:
Semester One

Week 1: Tuesday, 10 February
Week 2: Tuesday, 10 March
Week 3: Tuesday, 14 April
Week 4: Tuesday, 12 May
Week 5: Tuesday, 9 June
