Applicants for membership of the Lacan Circle of Australia are first invited to attend an interview with one or more members of the Committee of Management. Members are expected to participate in and contribute to the activities of the Lacan Circle. Members also have access to the Congress, Cartels, Seminars and other activities of the New Lacanian School (NLS) and the World Association of Psychoanalysis (WAP). Members receive the biannual journal of the NLS, The Lacanian Review.

The list of members of the LCA and their contact information is published annually in a Directory, available here. The Directory is public, regularly updated and searchable.

The expectation is that applicants for membership will have worked with the LCA for some time through participating in its events and activities.

Members of the LCA who practice psychoanalysis may apply for membership of the NLS. Details of the admission process are outlined here:
