Four Lessons on Love

As “Painful Loves” is the theme of the
New Lacanian School’s Congress in Paris in May 2025,
I thought I’d run a short series of classes on
Lacan and love over four Saturdays in November.

Each week, I’ll take a specific theme about love
– and not just about the pain of
love, though that too –
based on one of Lacan’s aphorisms.

We will start in week one with the thesis:

“There is no such thing as a sexual relation, only love”.

The classes will be held in person only at the Lacan Circle’s premises in the Nicholas Building from 10am-12pm on the following dates:

9 November
16 November
23 November
30 November

Everyone is welcome, there will be no charge.
