In this seminar we work toward the Congress theme of the NLS “Varity: variations of truth in psychoanalysis,” and the WAP conference “There is no sexual relation” for 2026 by reading through selected preparatory texts.

The ‘juxtaposition’ of two great psychoanalytic thematics – truth and sexuality, or more precisely, the sexual non relation – provide much material for our research and collaboration.

We will aim to bite off little pieces of each and pose the questions of their intersection – and of their non rapport – throughout, by engaging with selected texts from the guiding congress arguments & blogs and, from other

Readings and specific topics to be announced.

Jonathan Redmond is a Lacanian psychoanalyst in private practice in Fremantle, Western Australia. He is the author of Ordinary Psychosis and the Body: A Contemporary Lacanian Perspective (2014) and numerous journal articles in psychoanalysis. He is the President of the Lacan Circle of Australia where he teaches seminars on psychoanalytic theory and practice.

Online & Recorded: All sessions are streamed live on Zoom, recorded, and will be available for the duration of the semester. Zoom info will be available after registration. Supplementary readings will be made available in the seminar’s Google drive & Discord server.
